Surgical Steel vs Sterling Silver - Which one should I wear?

Surgical Steel is made up of a group of metal alloys and is hypo-allergenic so shouldn’t react to those with sensitivities. It is hard-wearing and it will not scratch or break as easily.

It also doesn’t oxidise or discolour and it does not require regular cleaning.

Sterling Silver contains around 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals (usually Copper) and we love offering it to our customers as there is a small percentage of people who tend to favour it over surgical steel - But there is a catch!

While Sterling Silver is often used in jewellery, it is a much softer metal which can damage quite easily, and has a tendency to tarnish over time. As such, it should never be used in fresh piercings and must be treated with care.

Don’t let the price tag fool you, Unless you know your body reacts better to sterling silver - We always recommend sticking to Surgical Steel.
